Three practice areas, one method
We work across three connected practice areas - population health, workforce, and transformation. Some clients engage us for a single, contained piece of work in one of them. Others ask us to lead multi-year programmes that draw on all three. We are deliberately built to do both well.
Three practices, connected by a single method
Each practice stands on its own and is led by a senior practitioner. Most of our best engagements pull two or three together - a workforce plan grounded in population insight, or a transformation programme with OD woven through from day one.
Population health
Understanding, planning for and improving outcomes for the populations that health and care services serve. Population health management and analytics, health inequalities and prevention, value-based care and outcomes, population-informed service design, patient experience and involvement, and population health strategy.

Workforce
Designing, planning and leading the workforce change that makes services sustainable. Board-level workforce strategy, rigorous workforce planning, organisational development, strategic advisory and diagnostics, capability building via senior interim support, and practitioner-led training and development.

Transformation
Leading the major programmes that reshape services at scale - as PMO, programme director, or independent assurance. Programme leadership, service reconfiguration, target operating models, new builds and major capital programmes, group models, mergers and partnerships, and efficiency and productivity programmes.

The engagement spectrum
We size each engagement to the problem, not the other way around. The five phases below run in sequence, but not every client needs all of them. Some begin with a short diagnostic and grow the work from there. Others come with a programme already mandated and need delivery muscle from day one.
Diagnose
A structured piece of work to understand the question and the system around it. Two to six weeks. A board-ready diagnostic with clear findings, options and a recommendation.
Strategise
A strategy or plan the board can decide on and the executive can deliver. Three to four months. Named owners, measurable outcomes and a credible delivery route.
Plan
Turning strategy into a phased, costed, ownable programme. Governance, milestones and dependencies. The plan the whole executive team can point at.
Deliver
Embedded programme leadership and expertise alongside your team for as long as the programme runs. Weekly delivery cadence. Transparent reporting. No surprises.
Embed
Capability transfer, evaluation and disciplined hand-back to internal leaders. We leave organisations more capable than we found them.
Not sure where you are on the spectrum?
Most of the engagements we are proudest of started with a single email and a 30-minute call. Tell us roughly what you are grappling with - we will tell you honestly whether we can help.
