Practitioner-led training in the disciplines we spend our lives doing
We design and deliver training and development programmes in the disciplines we practise every day - workforce strategy, workforce planning, organisational development, transformation and change. Every programme is built by senior practitioners and delivered by people who have done the work at scale in NHS and equivalent settings.
What we do
- Workforce planning for system and place - structured training programmes for ICS, ICB and place-based workforce planning teams.
- Executive and leadership development - board, executive and clinical-leadership programmes tailored to your specific challenge.
- Programme and change academy - technical training in programme leadership, PMO and change management for internal programme functions.
- Action learning sets and peer learning - facilitated peer learning across a cohort of senior leaders working on a shared challenge.
- Technical workshops and masterclasses - short, deep sessions on a specific technique - demand and supply modelling, skill-mix analysis, OD diagnostics, options appraisal.
- Custom capability programmes - full curriculum design and delivery for a client-specific capability build.
How we work
We build training around the work our clients actually have to do. We do not sell an off-the-shelf module and hope it fits. Every programme is designed for the cohort in front of us, with real client examples and applied exercises.
We deliver in the format that suits the cohort. Face-to-face, online, hybrid, or a mixed programme with action learning between modules. Format follows outcome, not the other way around.
Our facilitators are practitioners. The person in front of the room is someone who has led the discipline they are teaching, at senior level, in the sector we work in.
What you can expect from us
- A senior lead designing the programme with you, before writing a single slide.
- A published curriculum, published outcomes and a way of evidencing that the outcomes have landed.
- Delivery by senior practitioners, not junior trainers.
- Materials the client owns and can re-run internally afterwards.
Typical engagements
- A workforce planning academy for an ICS, delivered across four modules with action learning between each.
- A programme leadership academy for the internal PMO of a large acute trust.
- A masterclass series on strategic workforce planning for a national workforce programme.
- A twelve-month leadership programme for clinical service leads in an acute trust.
